
ABOUT ME
Eva Agustin, her talent in singing was discovered when one of the Indonesian popular children song “Andai Aku T’lah Dewasa” on Sherina’s cassette album was played in the car on the way to Ubud when she was 4 years old.

When she was 12 years old, she joined vocal classes in Bertha & Murni Music Studio in Bali, coached by Eta Herawati or many known undername of Bertha McCarthy and had recorded children songs for private use.
​
Her first encounter with jazz was when she joined Underground Jazz Movement, an engaging local jazz community in Bali directed by Yuri Mahatma and Astrid Sulaiman who are also founders of Ubud Village Jazz Festival. She participated summer jazz camp in 2014 which was organised by Ubud Village Jazz Festival and coached by a jazz vocalist Deborah J. Carter during this program.
She was volunteering the first round of Ubud Village Jazz Festival in 2013 and during this volunteer program she experienced sharing sessions amongst jazz musicians, including Peter Beets, Dian Pratiwi, and Uwe Plath.

During study period at Yogyakarta, Eva joined local jazz communities such as Etawa Jazz and Jazz Mben Senen. In 2014, she participated Ngayogjazz Festival, by representing these two communities. Her first rendezvous with Bagus Adimas was for tribute concert “Hommage to Bubi Chen” in her sophomore year (2013) at Etawa Jazz Yogyakarta.

In 2019, Eva and Bagus had tour with local jazz communities, in Blitar, Tulungagung and Malang.
To expand her wings, Eva just had debut contemporary project with Sonjah, Hip Hop rapper from Surabaya under the pioneer of Indonesian Hip Hop indie label, Pasukan Records.
